About the league
The Brighton Roller Dollz flat track derby league was established in 2010 by sisters Becky “Flashy B. Jones” and Sarah “Vincent Van Ho.” After over a year of training, we started competing against other leagues in September 2011.
We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization focused on skater development and locally-based charitable outreach.
We strive to provide our fans with affordable, family-friendly entertainment in the heart of Livingston County. Our league has over 20 members from Brighton and the surrounding areas, including Fowlerville, Pinckney, Howell, Hartland, Fenton, Linden, Novi, and other metro Detroit suburbs. We are proud to be part of flat track roller derby in Michigan.
Our work in the community
We not only play hard– we work hard, too. In addition to playing roller derby, the Dollz are very active around Livingston County.
We believe in supporting the community that supports us. You can find us walking at Relay for Life to benefit the American Cancer Society, or diving through ice during the Polar Plunge for Special Olympics. In addition, we often adopt local charities at our home bouts, including our annual “Show Us Your Cans” food drive for Gleaners Community Food Bank.
The Dollz also volunteer at local Chamber of Commerce events, parades, and festivals. Be on the lookout for our jerseys while we’re out and about, and be sure to say hello. We love to talk derby!
